Vlaha Chimney Cakes is a small Reykjavík-based food trailer bringing freshly baked chimney cakes to Reykjavík. The idea was born from a simple wish: to share a traditional sweet from my home region of Transylvania and turn it into a warm, memorable street food experience.

Our chimney cakes are made fresh, rolled by hand, baked on wooden rolls, and served warm with a golden, crispy outside and soft inside. Customers can enjoy the classic version with different toppings, or choose a filled chimney cake cone for something more indulgent.

The name ‘Vlaha’ comes from the village I am from, near Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania. For me, this business is not only about selling food, but about sharing a piece of home, family tradition, and craftsmanship. Every cake is prepared with care, using a dough recipe developed for our trailer and adapted for fresh street service.
